Peggy Ellison
I am very proud to serve the students at Pickens High School this year! Although I this is just my second year at Pickens County Schools, I have taught general and special education English and social studies in Clayton County and Cherokee County as well as McCormick County in South Carolina. I grew up in South Carolina in a small town called Ninety Six which has Revolutionary Era roots, and we have many parks there to include The Star Fort National Historic Park. I have enjoyed doing Colonial Era reenactments there, and I was formerly in a historic dance troupe. I also love working with high school students, and I have four sons and a foster son who have all graduated and gone onto other pursuits to include two of my sons who are currently in the US Army. I have two grandsons in Cherokee County and a granddaughter in North Carolina.
I love school, and I hope you will learn to love learning as well. Among the colleges that I was privileged to attend are Georgia State University - twice, Lander University in Greenwood, SC, Clayton College and State University and Atlanta John Marshall Law School.
