Mrs. Valerie Boehm, English teacher at Pickens High School, was awarded the distinguished District Teacher of the Year for this school year. Selected from an outstanding group of school-level Teachers of the Year across the district, Boehm was recognized for a strong commitment to student success, instructional excellence, and leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
As District Teacher of the Year, Boehm will represent Pickens County Schools in the statewide 2028 Georgia Teacher of the Year program. Pickens County Schools congratulates Valerie Boehm on this well-deserved honor and thanks all of the district’s Teachers of the Year for the lasting impact they make on students each day.
