Science Challenge: Can You Make the Grinch’s Heart Grow 3 Sizes?

Students visited the Computer/STEM Lab with Mrs. Raines to put their science skills to the test! Using baking soda (a base) and vinegar (an acid), they created a chemical reaction to inflate balloons

The challenge? Figuring out the just right amounts to make the Grinch’s heart grow to three sizes—small, medium, and large! Science has never been Grinchy!

3D Printer Magic in Mrs. Allen’s PreK!

Letter formation is an important skill to master, and our littlest Hawks are hard at work learning to write their names. How cute are these 3D-printed name ornaments?! What a precious Christmas memory that will be treasured by families for years to come.

This amazing 3D printer was made possible thanks to our generous Bright Ideas Grant from Amicaloa EMC. We love seeing learning and creativity come together! Thank you, again!

Congratulations, Zoey!
We are so proud to recognize Zoey as our Campus Law Enforcement Student of the Month!

This amazing fourth grader was selected for being a kind-hearted leader who truly shines at our school. Zoey is a thoughtful and helpful friend in the Harmonious Hill City Hawks—volunteering to set up chairs before last Friday’s performance and even selflessly giving her instrument to another student.

Deputy Roach also commends Zoey for her outstanding help with flag duty, sharing, “She folds that flag perfectly—almost better than I do!”

Way to go, Zoey! We are so proud of you and the example you set for others.

Students “cashed in” their hard-earned Hawk Bucks and Dojo points to buy some super fun learning experiences today! Here are just 2 examples of the many fun opportunities:

1) Music/Art Station: Students created a Jingle Jeep Duck Bracelet, using the rhythms from “Jingle Bells” to design a bead color pattern—each note value matched a specific color. A Santa duck charm was the perfect finishing touch!

2) Media Center: Students sharpened their coding skills by programming Ozobots—line-following, color-reading mini robots—to complete fun challenges.
