Welcome! My name is Shaina Nix. This is my fifth year at Pickens High School. Go Dragons! I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2015 with a B.A. in English. I continued my education at Kennesaw State University and graduated in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English. Additionally, I completed my Ed.S. in Secondary English at Kennesaw State in 2021. Teaching is my passion, and I hope to instill a love for literature and learning in each of my students. A lover of books, my favorite books are The Kite Runner and Demon Copperhead. On a more personal level, I have been married to my best friend, Joshua, since 2013, and together we have a seven-year-old son named Ezra and a two-year-old daughter named Lucy. In our free time, we enjoy gardening, watching UGA Football, and traveling to horse shows across the southeast.
