Scholarship Information
1) Albert E. Harrison/ETC Scholarship
-All completed application packets must be submitted to your school counselor by 12pm on Thursday, April 1st.
-Click HERE to access the application and review the application criteria.
2) Students of Integrity Scholarship Program
-The Center for Character Ethics is doing a Spring 2021 Students of Integrity Scholarship program.
-This annual awards program selects and honors graduating high school seniors who display exceptional character traits and who plan to attend an accredited college or technical school of their choice.
-Pickens County is one of the counties required for students to attend high school in to qualify for this scholarship.
-All applications and video recommendations are due no later than April 9th.

3) WISH (Wentworth Institute of Science and Health) Scholarship
-WISH is dedicated to supporting students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). If you want to learn more about this, then please visit their website at https://www.wentworthscihealth.org/ .
-The scholarship eligibility and application (which will include an essay and one reference letter) can be found by clicking HERE.
-One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior committed to a 2- or 4-year college or university that will be majoring in a STEM field of study.
-The deadline for this application to be completed and submitted online is April 19th.
4) Maxine Westbrook Moore Scholarship
-The Pickens County Republican Party will select two graduating seniors who are Pickens County residents to receive $1000 scholarships toward continuing education at any accredited college or technical school.
-Email the completed application and supported documents to scholarship@pickensgop.org by April 23, 2021.

5) Pickens County Board of REALTORS Scholarship
-The Pickens County Board of REALTORS has arranged for three $1000 scholarships to be awarded to three Pickens County students that chooses to attend any college/university in the state of Georgia. Please see the application for more details about the scholarship.
-Click HERE to access the application and follow the directions on the criteria required to apply for the scholarship opportunity.
-The deadline to email or mail your application to tami@pickensrealtors.com is April 23rd. The preference is for you to email your application.
6) David Skinner GDA Scholarship
-The David Skinner/Georgia Development Authority Scholarship is awarded annually to students in the amount of $2400 enrolled in the study of agriculture or an agriculture related field. The application is open to seniors. Please click HERE to view more information about the scholarship and to either complete the application online or download the pdf form of the scholarship.
-The deadline to have your application mailed in is May 3, 2021.
7) Judy Shaw Memorial Scholarship
-The deadline for this scholarship is May 10th. All documents and your complete application must be submitted to your school counselor by May 9th. Then your school counselor will send the completed applications to Jamie Quinn on your behalf.
-This scholarship is open to seniors who wish to pursue a career in the Nursing Profession.

Transcript Requests and Attendance Verifications
Need a copy of your transcript? Then please send your transcript request to
phstranscripts@pickenscountyschools.org
and include your name (when you attended PHS if you are not currently enrolled), DOB, last 4 digits of your SSN, and where you need the transcript to be sent to. For previously graduated PHS students, the cost for a transcript request to be processed is $3.00.

Virtual College Visits
In lieu of on campus college visits, most colleges are hosting virtual information sessions this school year. Below are some upcoming virtual college meetings that you may want to attend:
1) Spring Georgia Line Virtual Tour
-The Georgia Line Tour brings together Columbus State University, Georgia Southwestern State University, and the University of West Georgia, all located near the Alabama border, to present information sessions geared towards interested students, parents, and high school counselors. Each 30 - 45 minute information session will consist of a brief presentation by each university, followed by time for students to ask questions.

-The last date for the Spring Georgia Line Virtual Tour is Thursday, April 15th at 7:00pm
2) NACAC Southeastern US Fair
-This virtual college fair will take place on Tuesday, April 20th, from 3-7pm.

3) College Board Big Future Days Southeast
-If you are interested in looking at schools to attend across the Southeastern United States, then this is the virtual college fair for you.
-The event will take place on Thursday, April 29th, from 5-9pm.

College Planning & Test Prep for Grades 9-12
